About Kristen Kauke
Uniting the many parallels between Eastern and Western systems of healing
Can you imagine the resilience that results from a mind-body connection?
As someone who has personally benefited from the parallels between Eastern and Western systems of healing, I am passionate about sharing this awareness with clients and also with other practitioners.
Well-versed in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
I specialize in uniting the many parallels between Eastern and Western systems of healing.
I am well-versed in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Yoga-Informed Psychotherapy, as well as yoga for building emotional regulation and connection back to the body when wellness has been impacted by mental health concerns, overwhelming life events, and trauma.
I began my career as a Clinical Social Worker in 1999, after earning a Masters in Social Work from the University of Chicago. I am a 200 hour registered yoga teacher and pursuing my 500-hour certificate through Prairie Yoga.
In 2016, I was honored as one of Kane County’s 2016 Women of Distinction for my clinical work, for leading efforts in creating the St. Charles Regional Effort of Campaign to Change Direction, as well as implementing yoga for the adolescents at the Youth Detention Center.
I have presented nationally and written on the topics of coping with anxiety and resolving conflict within relationships, as well as penned three books. Beyond the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband, sons, and two rescued dogs.
